Recruitment of Part-time Boarding Academic Development Coach for Boarders (Dormitory) St. Paul’s Co-educational College invites applications for the post of Part-time Boarding Academic Development Coach for Boarders. The appointee should be dedicated, responsible and reliable, with a genuine commitment to supporting boarding students in their academic progress, personal development and growth as members of the boarding community. The appointee will support boarders during evening study sessions at the dormitory from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm during school weeks. The role involves creating a structured, focused and encouraging study environment; guiding students in completing homework, organising revision and developing effective learning routines; and fostering the values and personal habits central to boarding life, including self-discipline, responsibility, independence, perseverance and respect for others. While academic support is an important part of the role, the emphasis is not on subject tutoring alone. The Boarding Academic Development Coach will help students become more motivated, self-directed and accountable learners by encouraging good study habits, time management, personal organisation and a positive attitude towards learning. The appointee will also observe and report on individual student progress to the Warden as appropriate. Requirements  Bachelor’s degree  Prior experience in mentoring, coaching, or teaching secondary school students is an advantage  Strong academic background, including excellent HKDSE or IB results, is an advantage  Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with secondary school students  Responsible, patient and able to maintain a supportive yet disciplined study environment to foster the building of strong study habits  An understanding of, or interest in, boarding school life and student development is an advantage Interested applicants are invited to submit a cover letter and résumé stating current and expected hourly wage by email to recruit@spcc.edu.hk, or by post to The Principal, St. Paul’s Co-educational College, 33 MacDonnell Road, Hong Kong.
